NO GOING BACK

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Midi Guitar, Bass guitar, Synthesisers, Drum programming

Some say fortune’s out on the road,
One on one – I’ll make it on my own.
No going back it’s time to move on yeah
Chasing horizons, embrace the unknown
Wake every soul with my six-string drawn
Moving town to town rocking dusk till dawn
Some say fortune’s out on the road
Running free I’m taking back what is owed
One way track let’s see where it goes my friend
Leaving my regrets in my past
Facing every fear in my head
Taking chances on this life roulette
Some say fortune’s out on the road
One on one I’ll make it on my own
No going back this roads my new home yeah
No going back I’ll rock where I roam
Some say fortune’s out on the road,
One on one – I’ll make it on my own.
Some say fortune’s out on the road,
Running free I’m taking back what is owed
Some say fortune’s out on the road,
One on one – I’ll make it on my own.

CHOOSE THE JOURNEY

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Midi Guitar, Bass guitar, Drum programming
Andy Mason - Keyboards

I’m packing up and I’m on the road can’t wait to see where it goes,
Always felt there’s something more that needed proving
Took a coach ride down the line, don’t think I locked the door but that’s alight, I’ve decided this time to live a little
Every bend that we go round, there’s always something beautiful to see, when I’m on the bus and I’m moving
I’m packing up and I’m on the road can’t wait to see where it goes
Always felt there’s something more that needed proving
I have left all the hurt behind can’t wait to get it off my mind, oh I know it needed losing,
We stopped to watch the sun go down, it’s amazing what you hear when there’s no sound of everyone else moving
The sunlight starts to split the trees, it’s amazing how many people don’t see, but it’s a view that needs choosing.
Back on the bus and we’re moving on
I’ve put the journey off too long and now it’s catching up,
I don’t know where the road goes or where this ride stops, all I know is,
I’m packing up and I’m on the road can’t wait to see where it goes,
Always felt there’s something more that needed proving
I have left all the hurt behind can’t wait to get it off my mind, oh I know it needed losing,
I’m packing up and I’m marching on we only learn when it goes wrong
Always known there’s something more but it needed choosing
I’m packing up and I’m on the road can’t wait to see where it goes,
Always felt there’s something more that needed proving
I have left all the hurt behind can’t wait to get it off my mind, oh I know it needed losing,
I’m packing up and I’m on the road can’t wait to see where it goes,
Always felt there’s something more that needed proving
Oh it needed choosing.

THE LONG WAY ROUND

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
JP Payne - Banjo
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Midi Guitar, Bass guitar, Synthesisers, Drum programming

If I could change this world, I’d be a better man, and I could be there for you
I’d be present not living in the past and I’d be there for me too
Life would move by different than it does, and I’d have time to take it in
But I’m not always in the driving seat and don’t always make the right turn
Maybe it’s foolish to think that I could change the world to see
But I can choose to be happy with what I have and just let the world be.
If I don’t try to conquer mountains, instead I take the long way round
Even though it’s a road less travelled by most, there’s so much more to be found
On the long way round there’s more to see on the long way round,
What if I don’t try to conquer mountains
Instead, I take the long way round
Even though it’s a road less travelled by most,
There’s so much more to be found
On the long way round there’s more to see
On the long way round,
On the long way round, long way round, long way round, on the long way round.

HAVE FAITH

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
Nick & Tilly Holker - Choir
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Midi Guitar, Bass guitar, Drum programming
Andy Mason - Keyboards

In every life there’s a light, in every light there’s a truth
And every path you walk down might not be the one for you
Have faith my love, have faith my love
The world knows you were made for greater things, have faith my love.
In every failure there’s a sign but only if we choose to read
Every lesson you’ve learned along the way, you plant another seed
Have faith my love, have faith my love
You and I know you were meant for greater things, have faith my love.
Oooh Keep the light in your heart,
It’ll shine so bright it’ll break the clouds of doubt apart
Dark clouds will always come, casting shadows at your feet,
But your light will shine through for all to see – my love
Have faith my love, have faith my love
Have faith my love, have faith my love

BREAK THE REINS

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Midi Guitar, Bass guitar, Drum programming
Andy Mason - Keyboards

I’ve been listening to you, my whole life, my whole life
Still the pain keeps breaking through, all the time, just one more time
I don’t know what to do, when I feel fine cos, I’m not fine – no
I can’t breathe without you; you made me believe that was my truth
But I’m me without you, I get to choose, I’m taking it back before you refuse
And it’s time to break the reins, cos I’m over you.
Your absence makes, my mind, my mind wonder
Did I need you at all, plays in my head, like thunder
Second guessing every mood, and what they think, is the answer
I can’t think straight when I’m with you
I’m ready to break the hold my fear has on you ohh
(Breaking the reins)
But I’m me without you, I get to choose, I’m taking it back before you can prove
That I needed you, to be the one who, gets to decide that my future is through
But I know for now, I’m me without you.
I’m me without you, I get to choose, I’m taking it back before you refuse
And it’s time to break the reins, cos I’m over you

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Bass guitar, Drum programming
Andy Mason - Keyboards

I don’t hear the music like I used to, sunrise is different when it rises without you
I live in the distance, between the future and the past
Performance of a lifetime I know can’t last
Where have you been I’ve missed you, what have you seen along the way
You know your mind will twist you
Into someone you believed would stay – where have you been
The present escaped you for so long,
But I don’t blame you for everything that went wrong
I don’t hear the music, but I hear the lyrics in the song
Performance for a lifeline that can be reborn
Where have you been I’ve missed you, what have you learned along the way
I’ll gladly sit here with you and hear every word you have to say
Too many whispers telling me no, I’m letting the mirror masquerade go
I’m starting again cos I want to know,
Where have you been I’ve missed you, what have you seen along the way
You know your mind can free you and make you someone you love today
Where have you been I’ve missed you
Where have you been I’ve missed you

WORTH FROM THE ASHES

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Midi Guitar, Bass guitar, Drum programming
Andy Mason - Keyboards

Pressure’s building and I don’t want your kindness near me
Nothing you say in this moment will make me see
Everything you’ve done to try and help me channel all the pain
I can feel it rising everything you say just won’t translate
I feel helpless sometimes, burning all my lifelines
This bleeding heart leaves a trail back to the start of this burning hell
This broken soul will find its wings and learn to fly again, learn to fly again
Trying to put into words - the energy it takes to allow myself to smile
It’s all about what I see, but I get no help from me I’m living my life in denial
I feel worthless sometimes, self-sabotage by design
This bleeding heart leaves a trail back to the start of this burning hell
This broken soul will mend its wings and learn to fly again, and rise again, rise again
From the ashes born, from the darkness grown
Breathing deeper now, I understand somehow why
This bleeding heart left a trail back so I could find my way back from hell
This broken soul will mend its wings and learn to fly,
And rise again, rise again, rise again, rise again

BREAKTHROUGH (ERIN’S SONG)

Mike Higgins - Vocals & Acoustic Guitars
Chic McSherry – Electric Guitars, Bass guitar, Synthesisers, Drum programming

I want to rise like the moon and light the darkness
I want to belong in the room and keep it all harnessed
I want to float like a balloon and feel the weightlessness
Freefalling from a fear that looms and tries to crush my chest
I want to climb the highest tree and not worry about falling
I want to take my time and breathe don’t care who’s watching
I know you’re staring at me now because you don’t know what to do
Just ask the question listen close, and we’ll have a breakthrough
We hope you know we will be here, whenever you’re ready
We will be there to dry your tears and keep you steady
I know you know I’ve been there too and built volcanoes
But no one knows you quite like you, that’s how your story goes
I want to rise like the moon and light the darkness
I want to belong in the room and keep it all harnessed
I want to float like a balloon and feel the weightlessness
Freefalling from a fear that looms and steals away my breath
Breath, breakthrough, breakthrough, breakthrough, breakthrough
